NEW The North Pole - The Last Degree

Not enjoying the warm British spring weather? Prefer temperatures as low as -35∞C? Next year, we are offering the chance to ski the last degree to the Geographic North Pole. The trip starts in Longyearbyen, Spitzbergen where we do some Polar training prior to flying onto the ice at Barneo (a seasonal camp set up each year by the Russians). Then it's 60 miles across the sea ice, travelling typically 7-10 miles each day, overcoming obstacles such as open water 'leads', pressure ridges up to 7m high and consistently bitterly cold temperatures. For those who like to suffer, this challenging journey compliments our Greenland Icecap Crossing and The South Pole - The Last Degree expeditions. Visit the Cold Regions section of the website to find out more about what is involved.
