Introduction

Corsica’s mountains rise from the sea to reach the high point of Monte Cinto at 2,706m. With his Corsican friend and colleague Manu, Jim Blyth IFMGA aims to ski where the weather and conditions are best. Our ski tips are likely to grace top spots such as Vizzavona, Restonica, Vallée de Niolu and Asco.

This is a valley-based trip though we may have one night in a remote mountain hut. Although we are day touring the terrain is technical, so this is a trip for experienced ski mountaineers with solid crampon work, kick turns and downhill technique on all snow types.

Snowfall

Snow falls on Corsica from November until March though conditions vary greatly from year to year. Manu's intimate knowledge of Corsica's mountains will make all the difference, but he can't provide snow if there isn't any! Should we be unlucky and end up with a very lean snow year we can either ski in the Polish Tatras or somewhere interesting and unusual in France. We will make our decision two weeks prior to departure at the very latest.

What the price includes

• Guides' fees and expenses (Jim Blyth and Manu).
• Twin-share, half board accommodation when in hotels. Any gîtes or huts we may end up using basic dormitory comforts. Remember, flexibility is the key.
• All road transport including airport transfers.

What the price does not include

• International flights from the UK to Corsica can be booked on an individual basis - please contact us for a quote*

Insurance

You will need a travel insurance policy that caters for the activities you will undertake on your trip with Jagged Globe. It is a requirement of our booking conditions that you have such a policy. Day 1:	Fly to Ajaccio where you will be met and driven the short distance to our downtown hotel. Restaurant dinner and briefing for the week.
Day 2 - 7:	Ski mountaineering - please contact us for the day-to-day itinerary.
Day 8:	Transfer to airport and fly home.
