Western Europe's highest volcano

Introduction

Italian IFMGA Guide, Francesco Tremolada will be joining Jim Blyth to ski Western Europe’s highest volcano, 3,300m Mt Etna.

We will be day touring from our B & B accommodation, with pistachio croissants, freshly squeezed orange juice and superb coffee to set us up for the day. Dinner will be taken walking distance (or a very short drive) from the B & B in one of Nicolosi’s many excellent restaurants.

The plan is to purchase flights and make reservations once we know there will be sufficient snow. This should be about a month before departure. If there is insufficient snow on Etna but plenty in the Italian Alps, Apennines or Dolomites we can switch destinations.

What the price includes

• Guide’s fees and expenses. Guiding ratio 1:5 maximum
• Twin share B & B accommodation with dinner in one of Nicolosi’s restaurants.
• Road transport from/Catania airport and throughout the trip.

• International flights from the UK to Catania can be booked on an individual basis - please contact us for a quote

Large fluctuations may occur in currency markets over the coming months. The price of this trip may increase or decrease in line with these fluctuations. The final price will be confirmed two months before the start of the trip.

You will need a travel insurance policy that caters for the activities you will undertake on your trip with Jagged Globe. It is a requirement of our booking conditions that you have such a policy. Day 1:	Fly to Catania. On arrival we will pick up our rental vehicle and drive the short distance to Nicolosi. Settle in and head out for dinner.
Day 2 - 4:	Ski touring - contact us for the detailed itinerary.
Day 5:	Fly home.
